Nothing new here. It's the old curse of Minolta. From Minolta to Konica to Sony, they were good but never good enough.Confusing product lines, lack of direction, and of course the old lack of commitment. With all that hype about their ff lenses and ff Zeiss lenses, to abandon the ff market would hopefully put the last nail on the Sonyminolta coffin. I have a bag of old Maxxum lenses myself and I'm glad i never invested in any of Minoltas or Sonys dlrs or any more of their lenses. This is what happens when you believe what big corporations tell you.And their NEX line? A camera women like to put in their purses, nothing more. Sony is all about gimmicks while at least Canon and Nikon is about making better cameras.Sad to say this but the best thing for Maxxum users to do is to do exactly what they've been done to all these years, abandon sonyminolta. It truly is a lost cause. The more users hope and support Sonyminoltas products, the more they give sonyminolta time and more resources to let users down again.

Yo!

    Saludos

I clicked over to the bythom article about Sony FX sensors.

1) I had no idea the cost difference between FF and APS sensors was 10 to 1. Can that really be true? I like and trust Thom Hogan but I'm so surprised (ignorant) that I must ask for someone to corroborate this 10 to 1 cost difference.

2. I had been hoping that Sony would bring FF to the impoverished masses. Especially mirrorless FF! But if the 10:1 cost difference continues to hold, then we (the impoverished) will be using 4/3 and APS sensors for quite a while longer in our mirrorless systems.

I would love to hear comments on these two points from any of you engineering, high-tech, chip-design types who have time to comment.

Thank you.
