Double Micro Four Thirds lens leak (unexciting).
.
As I told you before the real new heavy stuff will be announced in March-April. The only news from the Micro Four Thirds front will be these two new lenses which are actually an update of current existing lenses:
First we will get a new Panasonic 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS lens with improved AF tracking, OIS, silent AF and aperture control. The lens is also a bit smaller and lighter than the predecessor.

And what you see now is the new Olympus 75-300mm lens which is said to be a bit cheaper than the predecessor plus….it comes in Black only.
Now let’s move on and see if Samsung will bring some excitement with their NX Full frame mirrorless camera!

5 months ago |I seem to remember how many people, including myself, thought that the Sigma 19mm and 30mm lenses were “unexciting”. Updated, improved lenses are always welcome and it indicates a commitment to quality by both companies.
They are probably more liable to improve our photography and pictures than some twitbook, wi-fi, art filter upgrade on a camera that to all intents and purposes is the same as the previous model.

I am in a market for such a zoom. Was leaning towards Panasonic 100-300mm cause Olympus was slower uglier and more expensive.
This makes it worth it to me. No need for unused Pana OIS with my OMD, this is smaller, mere focal range.
Both are daylight lenses so that 1/2 a stop wont save you. And any way ISO 3200 in good light s more than good on the OMD.
Hell I just shot a friends wedding as a courtesy with 12-50mm and a Zeiss ZF f1.4, using auto ISO 3200 and the photos cleaned up nicely and made wonderful prints. Low light is what kills you on the subject motion front.
I hope they “update the” 9-18mm in the same way by Summer

5 months ago |I agree about the 9-18mm too. But they BOTH should be weather sealed! Am I missing something? What is the point of merely updating a lens without making it completely desirable to meet the needs of their new flagship product (OMD)?
