SLRgear says the new 56mm lens is a “triumph”!

Lens review specialized site SLRgear tested the new Fuji 56mm f/1.2 lens and writes:

Fujifilm is really knocking it out of the park with their X-mount prime lenses, and the Fujinon 56mm ƒ/1.2R is another triumph. Typically, an impressively bright ƒ/1.2 aperture brings with it some big sacrifices such as sharpness, vignetting and CA, but the Fuji 56mm avoids them all. With stunningly sharp images, even in the corners at ƒ/1.2 with extremely minimal CA, vignetting and distortion, Fuji shooters looking for the premiere portrait lens for the X-mount should look no further.

Amazing lens! And for what it delivers the price isn’t crazy high neither! You can get the lens now at Amazon or BHphoto.

New Fuji Guys X-T1 video. And review by The Verge.

The team from FujiGuys made that nice Youtube video to explain the Top Features of the new X-T1.

Also TheVerge took a deep look to the X-T1 and got impressed by the camera:

I’ve been shooting with mirrorless cameras for a long time — I was an early converter because I was just tired of lugging my DSLR rig around. But they’ve always involved compromises. But after shooting with the Fujifilm X-T1 for almost a full month, I really feel like I’ve found what I’ve been looking for.

Review by CameraLabs:

The Fujifilm X-T1 is an outstanding camera, boasting superb image quality, a fantastic viewfinder and continuous autofocus which actually works, letting you successfully capture subjects in motion. All this plus superb manual focusing assistance and Wifi with smartphone remote control packed into a compact but perfectly proportioned weatherproof body. It’s one of the best cameras around at this price point whether mirrorless or DSLR and one I can highly recommend.

Review by ThePhoBlographer:

The X-T1 is a street photographer’s dream. I’ve been using it every day for nearly three weeks for a photo365 project I’m working on, and with the 35mm f1.4 affixed to it, shooting is an absolute breeze. The camera’s inconspicuous enough that I don’t get strange looks. The X-T1 can bend to nearly any photographic need in my estimation, save for sports and wildlife photography due to Fujifilm’s lack of fast telephoto lenses.

Review by Trustedreviews:

The X-T1 combines excellent design with a specification that makes it great value even at its circa-£1000 price tag. Above all, it produces breathtaking images and can be relied upon whatever the conditions, making it perhaps the best CSC on the market.

First A6000 test shows impressive AF performance. NEX-6 gets $140 discount.

Alin Popescu is the worldwide first site/blog posting the Sony A6000 review: http://www.alinpopescu.eu/blog/full-review-focus-tests-sony-a6000-beautiful-dream/

And in normal light conditions the A6000 new autofocusing system is really as fast as promised by Sony! Also in normal interior light conditions the A6000 focus works pretty fine. We still have to see how it performs in extreme low light conditions and I do hope next reviewers will take care of that aspect. Usually it’s there were DSLR cameras still show their advantages.

If you do not care about having super fast autofocusing at all you can buy the predecessor of the A6000 for $598 only at BHphoto (Click here).

GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition tested at Dpreview.

Guess what’s the most sold cameras at Amazon US (ranking here), the GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition! It sells more than any other compact, DSLR or mirrorless camera!

And it now got tested by the Dpreview team that writes:

It has better battery life, quicker Wi-Fi speeds with longer range, is more compact with the new case, has a significantly improved microphone, and the best image quality I’ve seen from a GoPro to date. I love the addition of SuperView, and the improved wind noise reduction is a substantial fix. Low Light is still up in the air for me, even though the Hero 3+ does exhibit better sensitivity than previous models I’ve used. The still image capture options are almost endless, and very effective.

DSLR and Mirrorless markets may be stagnating but Sports Cameras like the GoPro still sell like hotcakes!
